Linda's Story

I was sexual abused for 12 years as a child. I am 52 now. I have been trying to deal with this all these years. I have been married for almost 34 years and have two beautiful girls. My stepfather in the one who abused me. He died when I was 18. My mom and I started to be best friends after that. I was born on her 16th birthday. My step told my mom he was abusing me when I turn 16 years old. He always told me that he would tell my mom on our birthday. I dont know why that day. But still she kept pictures of him in her house. And talked about him all the time saying good things about him. Anyways, my Brother died a year and 7 months ago. At his candlelight my mom asked me if I wanted to go up front and say his name and light a candle and I said Of course. Then she said say your father name too and light a candle for him. I was SHOCK.... I couldnt believe that she asked me to do that. And I told her no and so she did it. Now, my mom and I arent like we use to be and dont talk much either. The story is just way tooooo long. I really need a penpal. Please be my friend.
